The Punjab Dhee Rani Programme is the provincial government’s collective-marriage support initiative for deserving brides and families facing financial hardship. The programme combines organised wedding events, applicant verification and financial support for selected brides.
The official portal remains accessible for registration and tracking. Punjab’s 2025-26 programme information set a target of 5,000 collective marriages, and the live programme dashboard has reported thousands of completed weddings and approved applications. Applicants should still check the live portal for the current intake before assuming a new 2026-27 quota has been announced.

The current Punjab programme page states that the bride is given Rs 200,000 as a cash gift/salami through an ATM card.
Older FAQ content on the same portal contains references to earlier benefit amounts from previous phases. For the current headline benefit, applicants should use the updated Punjab programme page that shows Rs 200,000.
Who is eligible?
The official eligibility criteria include:
- The bride must be destitute, orphan, a Person with Disability (PWD), or the daughter of a PWD under the programme categories.
- Age must be between 18 and 40 years.
- The applicant must be domiciled/resident in Punjab.
- The bride must be unmarried and willing to participate in the collective wedding ceremony.
- The bride must have a confirmed match/rishta according to the programme FAQ.
- If applications exceed the available quota, selection can be made through electronic balloting.
Who can submit the application?
The application can be submitted by:
- The bride herself.
- Her father.
- Her mother.
- Her legal/appropriate guardian.
The groom cannot register himself as the applicant. The programme FAQ states that registration is for the bride/girl.
Can someone apply after Nikah?
The programme FAQ says the applicant must be unmarried and that a person whose Nikah has already been completed should not apply.
This is important because Dhee Rani is designed around the collective wedding event, not reimbursement for a marriage that has already taken place.
How to register online
- Open the official Dhee Rani registration page.
- Create an account using correct name, CNIC and contact information.
- Select district and tehsil.
- Complete bride and groom details accurately.
- Enter contact information and create the portal password.
- Log in and complete the full application.
- Upload documents in the formats requested by the portal.
- Submit the application and keep the account credentials safe for tracking.
Is groom information compulsory?
Yes. The programme FAQ states that correct groom information is compulsory in the online application and the application will not proceed properly without it.
What document formats can be uploaded?
The official FAQ states that attachments should be in:
- PNG
- JPG
- JPEG
Applicants should upload clear, readable images and should not edit documents in a way that changes the information.
Is stamp paper required?
The programme FAQ says no stamp paper is required for the eligibility affidavit during the online application process.
Applicants should follow the live portal requirements if a later stage asks for any declaration or verification document.
What happens after the application is submitted?
The official programme explains a multi-stage verification and selection process:
- Application registration/submission.
- Application acknowledgement through the portal/SMS.
- Assignment to the Tehsil Verification Committee.
- Field verification at the bride and groom’s homes.
- Approval by the Programme Steering Committee.
- Selection communication through SMS.
- Bank of Punjab account opening and biometric verification.
- SMS about wedding date, venue and time.
- NADRA-related certification/verification as required.
This means a submitted online form is not the same as final selection.
How to track application status
The Dhee Rani portal allows applicants to log in and review the tracking bar in their dashboard. It also provides a separate CNIC tracking page.
Applicants should keep the same mobile number active because programme updates and event information can be sent by SMS.
What if the OTP does not arrive?
The official FAQ says an applicant may use the robo-call option for OTP support. It also notes that some mobile-number issues may require the applicant to visit the relevant Deputy Director Social Welfare office.
Can the application be edited?
Yes, but the FAQ states that the application can only be updated before it is marked for verification.
Applicants should therefore correct mistakes early rather than waiting until a field-verification visit.
How many guests can attend?
The programme FAQ states that a total of 20 people from both the bride and groom sides combined can attend the wedding event.
Can people from all religions apply?
Yes. The official FAQ states that individuals from all religions can apply, provided they meet the programme eligibility requirements.
Can multiple sisters from one family apply?
The FAQ says multiple eligible brides from the same parents can apply using their own CNICs.
Current programme status
The official 2025-26 programme target was 5,000 weddings. The public dashboard has reported more than 4,900 completed weddings and nearly 5,000 Programme Steering Committee/Bank of Punjab approvals.
Because the current date is beyond the end of the 2025-26 fiscal year, applicants should check the live registration portal and helpline for confirmation of the current intake or a new phase. The existence of the registration form does not by itself confirm a new quota.
